Hi.

Sorry for not being specific enough in my last mail - I was a bit
tired at the time.

The Preferences.el file is now without errors - I can load it after
Emacs has started by doing a M-x load-file and then everything works
as I expected it to.

Before loading the Preferences.el manually the *Messages* buffer says:
Loading mic-paren...done
(/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs)
For information about the GNU Project and its goals, type C-h C-p.
Quit
Quit

After the manual loading the following line is added:
Loading /Users/torbenhoffmann/Library/Preferences/Aquamacs
Emacs/Preferences.el (source)...done

I can live with this, but it would be nice to get the full
functionality out of Aquamacs - especially the automatic loading of
packages by placing them in the correct directory (also something that
I could not get to work, a good example of how to do this for a non
elisp guru would be nice!)

BTW: thank you for the effort you have put into Aquamacs - it is a
truely great application!
