Subject: Re: COSL OER Handbook project on WikiEducator

Peter:

A collaboration with Teemu's course would be great ... and timely. I've just
gone through a lengthy and somewhat strenuous candidacy for Custodianship
(sysop) status on Wikiversity partially on a platform of encouraging
collaboration between the two projects so I'd love to see a nice
cross-pollinating learning project like this benefit both projects. Leigh,
can you perhaps suggest to Teemu some way that students on his course might
use WikiEducator as a space to develop some free content, namely this OER
handbook. I know that currently on the Wikiversity course he is encouraging
the use of blogs but perhaps some work on Wikieducator could also be built
in. I'll try to talk it up a bit on IRC with JWSchmidt and contact Cormac
Lawler as well.
