Lucknow, July 20: DESPITE the claims by officials of King George?s Medical University (KGMU) about strict anti-ragging measures, seniors proceeded to rag the new batch of MBBS students. While classes are only slated to begin on August 1, the new students had gone to KGMU to complete their admission formalities.

??Pata nahi kahan kahan se aa gaye hain yeh log. Sab ko theek karna padega,?? said one senior. Another warned: ??Hum tumhare baap lagte hain. Hamara naam yaad kar lo, bhulna nahi chahiye.??
The new students were in...
With such a start, the freshers feared there may be worse action at the hostels. But they added that they were not willing to take it lying down, and would complain to the administration if the ragging got out of hand.
