Subject: [LIB-ANNOUNCE] Arrangements for Jean Sayre

A number of you have asked me about Jean's arrangements.  I do have more
information from her family now.    Jean will be cremated and they will
be having a ceremony at her family home in Minnesota in about 10 days.

In addition, we are currently planning, with Jean's family, a memorial
service here in Iowa City to celebrate Jean's life.   This will be held
on Friday, Feb. 24 at 3pm in the Levitt Center for University
Advancement.  A reception will follow the service.  

In lieu of flowers, the Jean Sayre Memorial Fund has been established
c/o The University of Iowa Foundation, Box 4550, Iowa City, Iowa
52244-4550.   Although Jean's husband, Bob, has not yet specified the
designation for this fund, I am as certain as I can be, this fund will
be designated for the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences.   The
Foundation is able to accept gifts at this time for the Jean Sayre
Memorial Fund.  

Jean's obituary will be in tomorrow's newspaper.   Nancy
