I think an easy way to test is to try yaz-client from the command line
Smart, simple, effective :D
instead of emilda. Here is an example. Note the line that says
"convert from win1250 to ISO-8859-2 unsupported".
I can see that line, it's pretty conclusive, but somehow, it doesn't make me
happy ;)
I'm guessing if you
can get it to display correctly in yaz-client, then a way can be found
to use the settings for marc charset and display charset in Emilda:
Good idea ;) I only have to find a way to get yaz-client display data
correctly..
I tried several more charset conversions in yaz-client. It seems that
conversion from win1250 is not possible, which gives me two options: 1) to
love win1250 and recode translation of interface, 2) make a way around with
iconv.
Thank you all for help, it was far beyond my expectations ;)
