emilda-print (for Unix, also Mac OS X) uses printers directly without
any other drivers in between. You need to specify in the
emilda-print.conf file where your label printer is. After that
emilda-print will print correctly to it (as long as it's an EPL2 printer).
Most Zebra ( http://www.zebra.com/ ) printers should support EPL2 but
you have to check from the product specs. emilda-print has been
developed for and tested with the Zebra TLP2844 printer and works well
with that one. If you can get a hold of one I'd recommend you get it as
it's the only one we've tested. For more info about the TLP2844 check
the Zebra product page at http://tinyurl.com/bncjv
I haven't personally tested emilda-print in Mac OS X but it should work
if you can write raw data to the printer (the equivalent of e.g.
/dev/usb/lp0 in Linux). Make sure the user running emilda-print has
write access to the printer device.
