This seems to be a hot topic, maybe a FAQ about this should be created.
The bottom line is that the bibliographic information resides in two
locations within Emilda
1. MARC data resides within the Zebra server
2. Administrative data (item ids, statutes etc) reside witin MySQL to
allow indexing and faster updates.
What You need to do, when creating a batch job to insert data into
Emilda is to besides to populate the MARC database, is to create a link
between the MARC records and the MySQL database.
Your scenario is similar to the one described in this mail:

where You also will find more information about how to batch-add items
into Emilda.
This process clearly needs both a FAQ and maybe even some tool to
achieve this.
