I think you should create the following folders in your idzebra folder:
lock
records (I think you already have this one)
register
shadow
tmp
These folders should maybe be part of the Emilda tarball, to avoid
further confusions on the matter. Making it part of the upcoming
RC1-release.
With respect to zebra.cfg, ensure that the following reflect values
appropriate for the location of components on your filesystem:
profilePath
lockDir
setTmpDir
keyTmpDir
Emilda requires certain customizations to files in the idzebra tab folder.
I normally set profilePath to include path to my customized tab folder
first and then the tab folder that comes with idzebra second.
By the way, in case you get missing symbols while using the perl
interface, note that when you build idzebra, you should follow exactly
and in order, the following steps noted at:
http://www.emilda.org/archives/emilda-devel/2004-September/000134.html
Good luck!

Having some trouble with the zebra aspect of Emilda installation:
I installed Zebra following the instructions in the emilda docs (compiled it
with perl, changed lines in perl makefile, etc), included the zebra.cfg file
from the special tarball in the emilda src directory, but am now having this
problem. When I try to run >zebraidx init , I get the following warnings and
error:
11:11:18-22/10: zebraidx(15887) [warn] open lock/norm..LCK [No such file or
directory]
11:11:18-22/10: zebraidx(15887) [warn] open lock/shadow..LCK [No such file or
directory]
11:11:18-22/10: zebraidx(15887) [fatal] Could not select database Default
errCode=2
There are records in the /records folder.
I had, at one point, initialized a zebra database in the default installation
directory (not emilda/zebra directory), and that worked without a hitch. I
have since reinstalled zebra, but to no avail.
I'm trying to get this going on Slackware 10.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
