The only thing that I can say when it comes to the above MySQL error is
that: are You certain that You have MySQL version 4.1 or newer? This
questions is based on the fact that the MySQL queries that fail all
contain SQL commands that are only present in versions above 4.1 of MySQL.
If You are sure that You have MySQL 4.1 installed, You need to verify
that PHP is aware of this, and uses the MySQL 4.1 client. This You can
verify by creating a file on Your webserver with the content:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
and then pointing Your web browser to that file. There You will find a
MySQL section, which will also tell You what version of the MySQL client
PHP encorporates.
If it in both locations can be verified to be version 4.1 or above, we
need to file a bug report and investigate more. But if You could verify
these two things first it would be of great help.
For help on how to update the MySQL client in PHP, please consult
previous posts on this list (December if I'm not totally mistaken)
Thank you for this quick and constructive reply.
My bad, 'mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.17, for pc-linux (i686)'.
As soon as I finish the upgrade and test Emilda with your advices
regarding write permissions for the 'records' folder, I will let you,
as well as other members of the list, know the result.
Thanks again,
Mvh
