Hi,
You've got an interesting project. It seems like the design is much
"cleaner" than some of the alternatives. I'm trying to give it a go.
I've come accross a bit of a hrudle. I can't seem to get zebra
configured properly. I always get either "Database unavailable --
Default" or something about an unsuported attribute.
The Zebra-part of Emilda is currently one of the things that need most
attention, at least to my oppninon...=) There should be an example Zebra
configuration in the downloads-section on realnode.fi, but when looking
right now at it, I realize, that there is none. I currently have no
access to the web-page as I'm not at 'home', but I will do my best to
have the example configuraion online by the beginning of next week.
Could you tell me what my zebra.cfg file should look like and if there
are any additional steps I need to take with zebra before I can add
books using the web interface ?
There seems to be something irrational about Zebra, if the folder
containing the MARC-records is empty. Then it will exactly tell You that
all 'attributes' are unknown, and that the 'Database 'Default' coud not
be selected', but this dissappears immediately after adding the first
MARC entry. You could try just to add an entry, and tell me if it
worked, or if it something went wrong. You of course need to have the
zebrasrv-process running before anythin can work, so if You did not have
it running, it is no wonder that Yaz complains...=) You can start the
Zebra process by going into the zebra-folder (that You specified in the
config), and typing 'zebrasrv', and seeing what it outputs.
You really need to have some experience to get Zebra working without any
exmaple configurations, so that if all fails, You have either to ask the
Indexdata peolpe, or wait a bit for the example configuration. I'm
really sorry that I forgot to put it online before the release, but
apparently there is something to it that my girlfriend is telling me
that I'm becoming demented...=)
Best regards,
Thanks,
Chris
