Re: EZproxy 3.6b released

I upgraded to 3.6b this morning and I enabled the new Audit feature.  When I checked my ezproxy.msg file, I found two errors relating to the new Audit feature:

 

2006-02-27 07:53:00 Unrecognized Audit option ignored: Login.Sucess
2006-02-27 07:53:00 Unrecognized Audit option ignored: Login.Intruder

I used the Audit line exactly as you have it in the Changes.html:

 

Audit Login.Sucess Login.Failure Login.Intruder Unauthorized UsageLimit

I also noticed that the suspend.htm was not created when I ran the ezproxy -m.  Is this a file that I have to create? 

 

Lastly, I am not sure I understand the ::Ticket feature..

 

On a different note, I wanted to thank you for your commitment to this great application.

EZproxy 3.6b GA (2006-02-26) has been released.  This update is available
for no charge to all licensed EZproxy users and is available at:

      http://www.usefulutilities.com/download/

The major changes in this release are the introduction of the Audit and
IntruderUserAttempts directives.  For an example of both and how they can
be combined with other directives to secure your EZproxy server, see:

If you would like to test these new features, browse to the Useful
Utilities demonstration server at:

      http://ezproxy.yourlib.org/admin

and log in using any six-digit number as your username and the word "look"
as your password, such as username "123456" and password "look" or
username "222222" and password "look".  The test server is configured to
lock out usernames after 3 login failures, so if a particular six-digit
number doesn't work, someone may have been testing and you should try
using a different six-digit number.
