LDAP bind failed: 49 Invalid credentials

I've just started using LDAP queries
against AD for authentication. I notice in the message logs I'm getting:

LDAP bind failed: 49 Invalid credentials

I am no longer seeing this entry any
more:

LogonUser for username returned 1326

I can login fine using my AD account.
People seem to be logging in fine as there is plenty of activity in the
log file - there are even current sessions open. Anyone shed some light
on this? or is this normal for LDAP authentication.
