Right on. That makes a big difference.
Sorry for being a boor!

It depends on how your users authenticate. We use user names and passwords assigned by us and stored in a password file on EZProxy--in other words, passwords we already know. This would help us to know if users are using an incorrect password.

Certainly if you are authenticating using LDAP or other external authentication, it would be way out of line to capture passwords, and I hope unfeasible.

My two cents worth?
Capturing userid's for tracking usage abuse is one thing.
However - I know my users wouldn't like me capturing their passwords.

I have been asked if I could do this.
I indicated that I could but that I wouldn't.

Hi,

Anyone know if there is a way to configure Ezproxy so that whenever there is an incorrect logon that it will display the user name and password within the message/status window? I already have it setup to display that information in a log file. Also, could the message/status window be refreshed on a daily basis?

Thanks,
