It depends on how your users authenticate. We use user names and
passwords assigned by us and stored in a password file on EZProxy--in
other words, passwords we already know. This would help us to know if
users are using an incorrect password.
Certainly if you are authenticating using LDAP or other external
authentication, it would be way out of line to capture passwords, and I
hope unfeasible.

However - I know my users wouldn't like me capturing their passwords.
I have been asked if I could do this.
