The project has two main goals: firstly, to 
identify and describe the factors which may 
facilitate and/or hinder the connection of 
formative assessment and feedback with learning 
and teaching in a range of different English 
language situations in Hong Kong; secondly, to 
provide further stimulation and support for 
the development of innovative and effective 
formative and summative assessment and 
reporting practices in English language 
teaching in Hong Kong secondary schools.
