For me as an Aussie/British speaker I cannot relate to the pronunciation specified in truespel. In the example Dick shows, I would never say /daug/ or /faaks/. Also I would not say /jumpd/ rather /jumpt/. I also disagree with Nelson that it is the same sound in duck or luck as a schwa. I will stick with IPA, it has always worked for me.
