OK, you got me. I'm transferring research findings
from the field of Math (my ex-chinese-now-American
Primary and Middle School math pedagogy researchers).
Their multicultural research, in the U.S. and China,
again offer leading comments on Chinese teachers
having many less contact hours for in-class teaching,
and MUCH more time reserved and used for lesson plans.
There is ample time for matching content to students.
As for the anecdote, the only one that comes to mind
involves a bar, a drunk, and a kangaroo. Next time.
