The meaning of "Yeah, right" can depend on the context and on the timing and
the tone of voice the speaker uses, but usually it means, "I don't believe you"
or "I doubt that what you are saying is true." So in the humorous example
given, 'Yeah, right" is portrayed as an instance when two words that
separately are affirmations become, when used together, a disaffirmation or
denial.
