Hi Atton,

I completely agree with your approach in learning English. I had
studied English in classrooms for about ten years in China. Although I
worked hard, I found the way we were taught in school was least
effective if you want to be able to use the English well, particularly
spoken and written skills.

Just like you, reading easy-to-understand books and listening to radio
helped me tremendously in developing the language skills. And I
strongly recommend anyone who really wants to improve their second
language skills to spend a lot less time and effort on grammar but a
lot more time on reading and listening anything that interest you and
that you can understand.
