sure enough

Letirose and all--
   
  "Sure enough" means that something happened as expected.  Here are two 
examples: 
   
  (1) "I said he would forget, and sure enough he did."
   
   (2) ". . . I said, 'That son of a bitch is gonna run against me,' and sure 
enough I was right (quoting Harry S. Truman, former President of the US)."
