Lecturer position at UC Irvine: msg#01110education.classics
The Department of Classics at the University of California, Irvine announces a full-time, one-year Lecturer position for academic year 2004-2005. Teaching responsibilities will include a number of undergraduate courses in Latin and Greek as well as Greek and Roman civilization courses in translation. Service dates will be September 24, 2004 through June 17, 2005. Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Classics (preferred) and experience in language instruction. Applicants must forward a current curriculum vitae and three letters of reference to Professor Lynn Mally, Chair, Department of Classics, 120 HOB2, University of California, Irvine, CA 92697-2000. Deadline: May 30, 2004. Letters of application and references should refer to and evaluate the applicant's training and experience in teaching undergraduate Latin and Greek. The salary is commensurate with experience and based on a minimum annual salary of $35,868.
