Well, since you asked ... That's why many of us, including me, don't have a
terribly high opinion of the scholarship of those four luminaries (don't get
me started on Campbell). But at least Graves, Jung, and Campbell could
*write*--especailly Graves! (I haven't read enough echt Gimbutas to say
anything about her style.)
