ayup,

it's half working.

If I do:

$vim file.pl

and then in vim go into insert mode and type "for" and press tab,
nothing happens. But if I then press "ESC" and do ":tabnew newfile.pl"
then it's all working correctly.

So it something to do with recognition of files. If I open an
exisiting "test.pl" file it also fails to work.

Any ideas what settings I could accidentally have in my .vimrc that
could be causing this?

P.S. I posted here because I thought it might have been a mac specific
issue, but it seems that's not necessarily the case.
