Where to put set_status_line?

Hi,

where do I put a
set_status_line("(Jed) %b    (%m%a%n%o)  %l/%L(%p)%c",1);
statement if I want that statement to be globally valid?

Putting it outside any function in ~/.jed.rc does not seem to have any
effect.
