If you're asking whether Access forms are stored as text files
somehow, then the answer is no. I had a go trying to export an Access
form in the hope that you might be able to edit it and them import it
back in but I all I managed to do was export the data from the form
rather than the form design itself.

However, I have Access 2003. I'm not sure if previous versions of
Access store the forms differently...

Re: RE: Re: Access Question

I have some VB experience and some Access experience but using them together is limited on my part. I just thought it might be easier to make changes on the forms using edit plus. > > From: <gsmith-1ZFNzEO+3uy2bxLqALEPVg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Date: 2005/09/16 Fri AM 11:19:29 EDT > To: <editplus-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: RE: [edit+] Re: Access Question > > Why do you want to do this? > > > > EditPlus is a TEXT editor. > > > > It is great for editing text files, like > > > > Well, text files > > ASP pages > > HTML pages > > CSS pages > > INI files > > Text-based source code files > > Etc. > > > > It is NOT good for editing non-text files, like: > > Access forms > > Powerpoint documents > > Video files > > MP3s > > JPEGs > > Etc. > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: editplus-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:editplus-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On > Behalf Of Harry Standley > Sent: Friday, September 16, 2005 10:54 AM > To: editplus-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; > editplus-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [edit+] Re: Access Question > > > > I think so. Double Colon as LINECOMMENT for *.bat stx file

I use :: within DOS Batch Files (XP Command Files) for Comments. For example: @echo off :: Purpose: Backup all Text Files into a Zip File :: Written: 09/18/2005 by Brad Sherwood I can not figure out how to get Edit Plus to recognize lines starting with :: as comments. I've tried the following within the Syntax file... but not working for me. (REM and rem are working.... just not ::) #LINECOMMENT=:: #LINECOMMENT2=rem #LINECOMMENT3=REM Any Ideas?
