Hello:
This behaviour is not erratic at all. I believe it is by design and
works as I would expect it. You see, the option "Working Directory follows
active document" means exactly that: EditPlus' current working directory will
be the one of the active document. So if you have a document active, it will
not display its path in the title bar since its path is the working directory.
Any other documents opened from that same directory will not show their path
either. By contrast, whenever you open a document from a different directory,
it will show its path in the title bar, as it is not in the current working
directory.

Unchecking the option will only make EditPlus *not* follow the active
document, meaning that the working directory will be the one of the last
document opened. The behaviour of the paths in the titlebar remains the same:
all files within that directory display no path, all others display their path.

That said, I agree with you that there should be a way to *NOT* display
the paths in the titlebar, as I also have the same problem while editing many
different files from relatively large paths, and it is very irritating to not
be able to see the filename while ALT+TABbing -- or even while traversing the
EditPlus tab list or window list!

Maybe we should suggest this as a feature to Sangil Kim...?
