Your analysis seems correct, unfortunately. Now this behaviour, erratic
by itself, is the exact opposite of what one would need. I often open
several files from the same folder in a single instance of EditPlus.
It is when I open various sets of files (sets of html files, sets of
txt files...) from various locations on my computer that I need the
full file path to disappear, which would enable me to quickly locate the
various instances of EditPlus by means of ALT+TAB. But there seems to
be no way to achieve this in EditPlus. Could be a minor fix, though,
if the EditPlus developer included a "Show full file path in window
title bar" checkbox in the Preferences dialog.
