This must be an obsolete driver.  Any recent driver would have printed a
warning "Primary firmware is active" and refused to work with the card.
Besides, I don't think any recent driver would have identified this
firmware as Intersil.

I have no evidence of that.

This card may be supported if the driver received firmware download
support for Agere firmware.  Nobody is working on it now, so if you need
something working soon, consider buying another card.
