Subject: Symbol LA-4123, orinoco_nortel problem
Hello,
i have the problem with orinoco_nortel driver in Linux with
SYMBOL LA-4123 card, which is very similar (it s rebranded nortel
emobility PCI) to Nortel emobility PCI card. SYMBOL LA-4123 is
SYMBOL LA-4121 card in PCI-PCMCIA reduction ( use chip ALTERA
acex EP1K30FC256-1, other chip on reduction card is ALTERA
EPC2/TC32). In Win2K/XP work this card perfectely (using
NetWlanXP.sys version 3.9.71.178 + Netwlan.T2 + Netwlan.T2i)

How do you know your card is similar to the Nortel?

I tried LA-4123 in Linux - i use orinoco 0.15rc3 drivers.
Used kernel is 2.6.14.3
In module orinoco_nortel is VID/DID only for Nortel Emobility PCI
card. I add new line in file orinoco_nortel.c in this section:
static struct pci_device_id nortel_pci_id_table[] = {
/* Symbol LA-4123 PCI */
{0x1562, 0x0001, PCI_ANY_ID, PCI_ANY_ID,},
{0,},
After compiling this modified driver (make, make install, make
clean) - i tried modprobe orinoco_nortel In dmseg is: Probe of
0000:00:07.0 failed with error -12

Can you help me with Linux drivers for SYMBOL LA-4123 adapter?
Thanks in advance, have a nice day.

PS:Sorry for my bad english.
