No, wpa_supplicant is not supported yet. Most groundwork has been laid, and I
think somebody actually used xsupplicant with the orinoco driver. But for
wpa_supplicant to work, the driver needs to provide some hooks using wireless
extensions version 18 (e.g. the beacons should be made available to the
userspace).
The driver should be "wext" (I don't have the wpa_supplicant code handy right
now, but I hope you understand what I mean), when WE-18 support is implemented.
