Arguably if you're going to be testing how well rfmon works, you should
be using tcpdump (or ethereal if gui's really make you happy), with full
capture size (not default 60 bytes).

Anything else and you get into specifics about how apps handle packets
internally, both Kismet and Airsnort expect packets to be formatted
specific ways, as will any other app which does validation on the 802.11
frames.

tcpdump doesn't care, so if you're testing what comes out of the
drivers, put it in rfmon manually and use that.
