Subject: Re: [Orinoco-devel] rfmon in windows/Orinoco classic gold datasheet
http://wildpackets.com has drivers that do put the card into RFMON under
Windows XP and 2000. There has already been a lot of work on using these
drivers without the AiroPeek software - primarily Airodump
(http://netstumbler.org/showthread.php?t=12300). You could probably get a
ton of info from them (devine, KoreK, topolb). There's been talk about a
GPL'd driver in place of using the AiroPeek/WildPackets ones, but since
they work, you can use them too. Hope that helps you.
Ciao.

Hi Simon,
Any idea when will the GPL'd drivers be available? Drivers from
wildpackets in combination with Airodump worked g8. One problem though. We
are using this for research at university and can't use such hacks.
Has anyone written driver in windows? I would like to have a go at it.
Can anyone point me in right direction for getting started. All I want from
this driver is to put my orinoco gold in rfmon and extract signal strength,
channel #, ssid and mac address from all packets. Does anyone have a manual
that has all the hardware info required to write a driver?
All help appreciated :-)
_Vinay_
