The card is in monitor mode. Monitor mode is not supported in Agere 8.xx
firmware. It's disabled in the CVS version of the driver.
If you need monitor mode you could downgrade to 6.16 firmware from
http://airsnort.shmoo.com/orinocoinfo.html if you are lucky and have a
Windows machine around. If you don't need monitor mode, upgrade to the
CVS version of the driver. Or fix your scanning software not to use
monitor mode.
Future versions of the driver will hopefully support RAM firmware
download, with would allow loading the latest 9.xx RAM-only firmware.
