Ran into a situation when we activated html compression on our QA server where 
the page would not get fully rendered to the browser.  It appears the problem 
is that when Html compression is returned on (or whenever not using the 
response's writer) there is a writer that wraps the response's writer.  If this 
outer writer is not explicitly flushed, you can run into the situation where 
its content has not been properly written to the response.

The simple solution is to explicitly flush the writer after the screen has been 
rendered.  Attaching the one line fix patch file ...
