make bzImage

hi there,

i'm new in alpha-liunx - i just installed it since few minutes...

my problem is: the kernel on the machine is a standard
woody-kernel, 2.2.20. i would like to compile a new kernel from
2.4 series. i donwloaded the source, configured it, and try "make
bzImage" (ver: 2.4.22, from ftp.kernel.org)

but make says me:
make: *** No rule to make target `bzImage'.  Stop.

i put it a "make all" command, but i didn't find bootable
kernel...


pls help me:
