I see that you're getting 'localhost' as your hostname. Do you have HOSTNAME

I should set HOSTNAME in my .bashrc? I think it should be set in
/etc/init.d or in bash.


Could you reproduce the 'failure' case please?


yes, if env does not contain HOSTNAME, pbuilder failed.
