I think there are some basic things which works if you only have tetex-base installed, but work better, if tetex-extra is installed. Perhaps we should again split off texdoctk (and the config-files) to an extra-package. Then we should put it as Recommend or Suggest. Yes, I know is is a hard job to figure out, which stuff depends on which and to write then correct Recommends- and Suggests-fields. H. -- sigmentation fault

So rather give us the output of it, after you've put a "set -x" at the beginning of the skript. We would like to see which called program fails. Hilmar BTW: Do you know a way to configure dvisvga that it calls mktexpk, if the pk-File is missing? Here (stable) it doesn't work at all. -- sigmentation fault

Bug#190873: tetex-base: iso-8859-7.def missing [Babel/Greek]

Package: tetex-base Version: 1.0.2+20011202-3 Severity: important For latex to accept accept text in Greekk (ISO 8859-7) encoding the file iso-8859-7.def has to be used. For some reason, it has been left out. It can usually be found on CTAN. If you have trouble finding it, I could provide you with it.
