Roundtable and workshop proposal for Debconf6: msg#00000

Subject: Roundtable and workshop proposal for Debconf6
Hi guys,

Like I did last year, I've submitted several security-oriented proposals for
Debconf6. See them at https://www.debconf.org/comas/general/proposals/
Briefly:

- Improving Security in the Debian OS: a bird's view on the current state of
security in Debian, vulnerabilities, trends, etc. and how it should be
  improved (roundtable)

- Weeding out security bugs: a workshop focused on showing Debian developers
how to find and remove security bugs (workshop)

I wanted to know if any of the member of the Security Audit Team is going to
attend Debconf6 so we can team up in the proposals I've made. I don't know
why last year's proposal was rejected [1] but I think it would be nice to
have any of the above accepted this time.

I think that it would increase the chances of it being accepted if we teamed
up to make it. Do any of you guys plan to attend and, if so, would be willing
to team up with me for the roundtable or workshop?

Regards

Javier

[1] It seems it wasn't
- related to debian
- relevance/importance/usefullness
- good public speaking skills
- inspiring

(At least that's what the conference organisers said)
