Subject: Bug#610935: [php5-intl] Conflicts with php5-idn 1.2b-6 - msg#06565
Package: php5-intl
Version: 5.3.3-7
Severity: normal
--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hi,
php5-idn has been installed for a long time as a dokuwiki dependency.
When trying to install roundcube from experimental, it needed php5-intl,
so I pick up the version in squeeze. And voila:
root@belette:/etc/php5# php
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name -
idn_to_ascii in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - idn_to_utf8
in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: intl: Unable to register functions, unable to load in
Unknown on line 0
Erreur de segmentation
There are two workarounds. Either remove php5-intl, or comment the line
in /etc/php5/conf.d/idn.ini that loads explicitely idn.so. I didn't
manage to find the link between the two. But this is very annoying,
since installing both package makes apache crash.
Hope it doesn't arrive too late for squeeze release…

Thanks for the report, I'll Conflict php5-intl with php5-idn
> Hope it doesn't arrive too late for squeeze releaseâ
I guess it did, it's not serious enough to be fixed in the deep freeze.
