RE: - Unable to get unixODBC to work with informix driver: msg#00009db.unixodbc.devel
I have retried everything with a newer version of unixODBC from CVS and now it works for isql. The problem I have now is getting it to work with php off apache on a webserver (redhat 7.3). The error returned from php is:- Warning: SQL error: [unixODBC][Informix][Odbc Informix Driver]Data source name not found and no default driver specified., SQL state IM002 in SQLConnect in /var/www/html/ahs_web/php_todbc_p.php on line 19 Unable to connect to Informix database I suspect that somehow it could not find the .odbc.ini in the home directory of apache. I am not so familiar with web server and I am wondering exactly where the system expects to look, for the home directory of the apache process that run the web server. I got the same error message for isql if I remove the .odbc.ini file from the home directory of the user that runs isql. Suggestions or ideas welcome.
