Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Quite right, Moshe. Until recently, one had to explicitly configure for
ODBC, else the driver wouldn't get built. Frediano added autodetection,
which simplifies things for most people, but snagged you.

The best answer is to base autodetection on the existence of the header
files, plus make --disable-odbc work. I can do the latter, perhaps next
weekend. That's a must for 0.62.

Meantime, you need a workaround. You might install an ODBC driver manager,
as Frediano suggests. (Even though you won't use the ODBC driver, at least
the build will succeed.) Or you might try deleting src/odbc/Makefile; that
might work.

If you squint at config.log, you might be able to tell how the autodetection
works and move the file(s) out of the way temporarily. I can't offer more
specifics because I haven't looked into it.
