Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

perl sybase driver problem: msg#00231

db.tds.freetds

Subject: perl sybase driver problem

Please mail this address, as I probably wont be able to read the mailing list.

I installed freetds to allow me to connect to a mssql 2000 database. The
installation went well and all tests passed when i ran 'make check'.

tsql can succesfully connect to the database and i can run queries.

the problem:
i want to use perl DBD::Sybase to connect and run queries, but I keep getting
errors. I have installed the latest DBD::Sybase, which didn't work because it
was asking for config files. I reverted to 0.91 version of this driver which
seems to get further, but still doesn't work. Does this driver use the freetds
libs? Does the freetds.conf get used at all when using the sybase driver?

below is the error that I am getting now.
