Stefan, With 0.61, charset conversion happens only for Unicode data, including nchar and nvarchar columns. I'd like to see: 1. A TDSDUMP log (short as possible) illustrating the problem. 2. The server charset settings. 3. The client charset. 4. The freetds.conf. If you can't reproduce the problem with tsql, I'd look at the upper layers. Regards, --jkl
