The sp_xxx stored procs should normally not be executed with the database specifier. They are automatically found by the SQL parser on the server. For Sybase 4.x (and MS-SQL, apparently) the sp_xxx procs are in master, for Sybase > 10.x the procs live in sybsystemprocs. In any case you should just run exec sp_help That being said - running "master..sp_help" *should* also work - certainly it works here via sqsh and OpenClient. Michael
