Disabling parameter request on input eg: 'select now()::date'

Hello.                                                                          
            
                                                                                
            
                                                                                
            
On postgres I want to do a cast with ::type.                                    
            
                                                                                
            
This is a valid syntax:  setlect now()::date . But when I do that on            
            
squirrel, it prompts for a parameter input, ":date". How can I disable          
            
this?
