Re: values showing up as hex.

I tried checking the ascii box but to no avail. 

 

This is  how my text is showing up.

if I check the ascii box, my data shows as follows.

C   1   C   1   C   1   4   0   C   2   E   4   C   9   D   3   C   4   C   9   D   5   C   7   4   0   C   3   D   6   D   4   D   7   D   6   D   5   C   5   D   5   E   3   E   2   4   0   4   0

Dana,
   I have used Squirrel with the iseries/as400 and it usually works well.

Recently I have found a similar effect when using mysql:

If my column is defined as varchar the display works perfect in Squirrel.
If my column is defined as text the display will show up as Hex in Squirrel.

( You can double click on the HEX output, then you can  check the box
to display ASCII. Is your hex in ebcdic ? )
