Re: Problem with the latest snapshot of Squirrel: msg#00018db.squirrel-sql.users
Hello, I've reached a conclusion on this issue. I spent a number of hours downloading and installing SUSE SLES9 into a vmware image, and I finally got Informix 10 installed and managed to setup an ANSI database (no log buffering). At first I wasn't seeing the issue as I had created a non-ANSI database. However, when I created an ANSI database I managed to get the same behavior you described!!! (Thank you for waiting so patiently :) I've determined that it's probably a jdbc driver bug. The good news for you is that there appears to be a simple work-around. You see, I notice that the problem goes away when you use the driver that ships with Informix 10 in the $INFORMIXDIR/extend/krakatoa directory. It's version is "2.21.JC4N450" which you can verify in SQuirreL by looking at the "getDriverVersion" key's value in the metadata tab when you select the root node in the object tree. The version of the driver that produces the bug you encountered - for me, at least - is "3.00.JC3". cheers, Rob On 10/11/07, Mª José Casany <mjcasany@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi Rob, > thanks a lot for answering. > I only have access to an informix 10.0 for windows.
