squirrel displays squares for chinese characters: msg#00005db.squirrel-sql.users
I use squirrel to retrieve some records from ms sql server 2000. I use jtds 1.2 jdbc driver. The records contain nvarchar field that contains chinese characters. However, chinese characters are displayed as squares. I tried to copy(right-click and choose Copy) those squares and paste into Notepad. Notepad displays chinese characters correctly. But if I Copy As HTML and paste into Notepad, chinese characters will be displayed as ??. May I know how to solve this problem? I also need to export (right-click and choose Export CSV/MS Excel ...) the resultset to csv file. But if I open the exported CSV file with Notepad or Excel, the chinese characters are displayed as ??. Is there anyway to export using different encoding? _________________________________________________________________ Find singles online in your area with MSN Dating and Match.com! http://cp.intl.match.com/eng/msn/msnsg/wbc/wbc.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
