Re: Error in Squirrel when connecting to Database: msg#00021db.squirrel-sql.users
After trying to install 2.51, I get this error when connecting to the database: Unexpected Error occured attempting to open an SQL connection. java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188) at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.fw.util.MyURLClassLoader.findClass(MyURLClassLoader.java:164) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:251) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:319) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:247) at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.fw.sql.SQLDriverManager.getConnection(SQLDriverManager.java:128) at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.mainframe.action.OpenConnectionCommand.execute(OpenConnectionCommand.java:97) at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.mainframe.action.ConnectToAliasCommand$SheetHandler.run(ConnectToAliasCommand.java:283) at net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.fw.util.TaskExecuter.run(TaskExecuter.java:82) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) So, I was thinking it's something wrong on my side since the installation should be working for most other people. Is it some Windows Setting issue? Am using it on WinXP.
