Subject: Re: Problems using Oracle oci driver

Hi Ignacio,

Have you installed the Oracle client software? It seems your post that
perhaps you haven't.

The idea of the OCI connection is that it uses the client software, so
installing it is a prerequisite. (This is one of the main reasons why the
thin client is preferred in many situations.)

Regards,
Matt

Hi again.

That was a nice try, but it didn't work. Thanks in any case.

I tried that, and beside i copied oracle14.jar into the lib folder of my
JDK (1.5.0.3). So now i have oracle14.jar in two places... the lib folder
of SQuirreL and the lib folder of the JDK.

oracle14.jar is the unique oracle file that i have in this server, because
the database is running in other server. As i told you, thin client works
perfectly.

I haven't got a clue what's happening with oci driver. Perhaps i have
forgotten something?

Thanks in advance

Ignacio
